About Us
Each Church of Christ, Scientist, sponsors a Christian Science Reading Room. Our location is in the church building. We are a bookstore/study room - centers, where everyone is welcomed to come in and experience the healing, peaceful, quiet atmosphere away from the rigors of a busy day. We are BIBLE based. Here, you can learn how to heal any challenge by understanding the Bible's message of hope and healing. Find answers to that age-old question - "How did Jesus heal and is it possible today?" Stop in to think and investigate a different approach to healing challenges.
The Reading Room is a place where spiritual seekers from any and all faiths are welcomed to visit and to utilize our many resources
History
The Discoverer and Founder of the Church of Christ,
Scientist, Mary Baker Eddy established these centers where anyone could come in to learn about God. A God who is Love. A God that heals, protects, saves, forgives. When healed from fatal injuries after a fall, this prompted Mrs. Eddy to search the Bible to learn the "why", of her healing and "how" it came about. A solid three year study of the Bible led Mrs. Eddy to understand a God who loves his creation, and who does not send sin, disease, nor death. In the KJV Bible John:14:12 Jesus states - "Verily,verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." The Tenets of Christian Science
1. As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.
2. We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God. We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God's image and likeness.
3. We acknowledge Jesus' God's forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that casts out evil as unreal. But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts.
4. We acknowledge Jesus' atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man's unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.
5. We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.
6. And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure.

Study Room
The study room is an oasis. It is a quiet place to read
or do Bible research, and study. The room offers a peaceful setting. It also houses a large selection of books, in English, French, Spanish, and German, which contain inspirational, healing articles, and testimonies. There are numerous booklets featuring various current topics available in English and other languages. General study resources are also available, such as Bible Atlases, Commentaries, Dictionaries, and Concordances. Lectures that appeared in The Christian Science Monitor and other publications are now available for reading.

CHILDREN'S AREA
Our children's area is a place where young children are welcomed to read familiar Bible stories from our wide selection of books, and audio stories for listening and reading. Read testimonies of healings from the very young, sharing their experiences of how turning to God, whether at home or at school has changed their lives. The books, posters, puzzles on the Bible make great teaching tools for toddlers on up.

Sunday School Class
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School convenes at the same hour as the church service on Sunday. Here children learn
how to apply the teachings of the Bible to their
daily experiences. At an early age they learn the 10 commandments, and beatitudes.
Children up to the age of 20 can attend and be enrolled in the Sunday School
